Ortofon 2M Blue Cartridge

The Ortofon 2M Blue is a high-performance Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge designed to deliver an open, dynamic, and highly engaging musical performance. By upgrading to a Nude Elliptical diamond, the 2M Blue reduces the mass of the stylus tip, allowing it to track the record grooves with much greater speed and precision than entry-level cartridges.

The 2M Blue is defined by its speed, energy, and "alive" feel. It offers a noticeable improvement in "air" and detail over the 2M Red. It provides a balanced tonal response with a firm, rhythmic bass and a crisp, detailed treble, making it an incredible all-rounder for Rock, Jazz, and Electronic music.

KEY FEATURES

• Nude Elliptical Stylus: Unlike "bonded" diamonds which are glued to a metal shank, the 2M Blue uses a solid, Nude diamond. This lower-mass construction allows the stylus to follow high-frequency modulations more accurately, resulting in cleaner highs and far less distortion.
• Upgraded Engine: The 2M Blue features an improved generator system compared to the Red, providing a high 5.5 mV output. This ensures a strong, punchy signal that brings out the best in any phono preamp.
• Split Pole Pin Technology: A signature Ortofon innovation that enables Moving Magnet cartridges to have a flat frequency response similar to high-end Moving Coil models.
